Former President Olusegun has been trending following his condolence letter to the governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Obasanjo in the condolence letter to Prince Dapo over the death of Senator Buruji Kashamu who died of COVID-19 complication said the death is a lesson to all.
While the likes of Senator Ben Bruce who broke out the news and others eulogized the late lawmaker, Obasanjo took the other way round to point out how death inevitable.

According to the statement issued by the former president spokesman, Kehinde Akinyemi he said Kashamu’s life and history left “lessons for those of all us on this side of the veil.”
Part of the condolence letter reads as follows;
“Senator Buruji Kashamu in his lifetime used the maneuver of law and politics to escape from facing justice on alleged criminal offence in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.
“But no legal, political, cultural, social, or even medical maneuver could stop the cold hand of death when the Creator of all of us decides that the time is up.
The late Kashamu before his demise has been battling with the Federal Government over his extradition to the US.
He was accused of drug trafficking by the US government.
