Integrity Watchdog gathered that the immediate past N.D.D.C Managing Director Professor Nelson Brambaifa and his sons allegedly attempted to sell their houses in Abuja and in Port Hacourt. This development came after Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum published that it petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate Professor Nelson Brambaifa, his family and his kitchen cabinet while he was managing the Niger Delta Development Commission.
The properties in question were alleged to have been acquired with proceeds of money laundering of N.D.D.C’s funds. The petition also alleged that Professor Brambaifa purchased those properties using fronts and also awarded 300 contracts in one day to contractors acting as fronts.
The petition listed all N.D.D.C’s bank account also requested that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission investigate Professor Brambaifa’s listed associates and also calls on the the former NDDC manager to explain how he spent one hundred billion naira in just three months (a first in NDDC’s history).
The petition gave in clear details of how Professor Brambaifa allegedly laundered NDDC funds.
